Calves & Dairy Stock

IMMUNE ONE™ ARABINOGALACTAN POWDER (AG) is 100% AC9 ARABINOGALACTAN, a naturally occurring hemicellulose extracted from Western Larch trees that have already been harvested and utilized (top one-third of tree) for lumber. The ARABINOGALACTAN powder, water-extracted from the bottom two-thirds of the unutilized Larch stock, has been shown to promote beneficial bacteria while reducing pathogenic bacteria in the digestive tract of animals, a feature especially important during commercial production of animal derived products.

Studies at Washington State University, University of Montana, University of Minnesota’s Crookston Agricultural Experimental Station, and Purdue University indicate the ARABINOGALACTAN:

  • Significantly improves feed conversion and weight gain.
  • Increases numbers of beneficial anerobes such as lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidobacteria to reduce incidence of disease and improve health.
  • Is a method to enhance growth in young animals, yielding a potential earlier date to market.
  • Decreases numbers of harmful pathogens such as E-Coli, Clostridium and Candida allowing less reliance on routine antibiotics.
  • Reduces the incidence of scours at the lowest treatment level, and eliminates scours at higher treatment levels, without the use of antibiotics.

LARCH ARABINOGALACTAN (AC9) was evaluated on the performance of weaning Holstein calves. The ARABINOGALACTAN was added to the diet three days after birth and continued for four weeks. Consumption of 6 grams of the AC9 improved the feed efficiency by 9% at four weeks of age. Continuing to monitor the calves as they matured showed at 26 weeks the calves initially consuming 6 grams of ARABINOGALACTAN AC9 had a 10% weight gain improvement over the control diet.

LARCH ARABINOGALACTAN (AC9) is an approved feed additive, approved by the F.D.A. for direct addition to food and holds GRAS (Generally Regarded as Safe) status.

IMMUNE ONE™ ARABINOGALACTAN AC9 POWDER is available to the Dairy industry in varying amounts from (1) lb, (5) lb, (10) lb tubs or (40) lb. drums. For price information, please visit our order page.
