IMMUNE ONEtm LARCH ARABINOGALACTAN (AG) SUPPLEMENTS for swine are available in both a pelleted form with a specialized feed base high in anti-oxidant enzymes and in 100% ARABINOGALACTAN AC9 powder.

ARABINOGALACTAN has been shown to be a strong immune modulator while simultaneously an anti-inflammatory.

AG is patented by the University of Montana as a method to:

  • enhance growth in young animals
  • as a feed efficiency agent to increase weight gain
  • as a prebiotic that increases the numbers of beneficial anerobes in the digestive tract such as L.Acidophilus and Bifidobacteria
  • as a therapeutic agent to decrease the numbers of harmful pathogens especially gastrointestinal such as E-Coli and Clostridium
  • to reduce the incidence of scours at lowest dosage (3 grams/day) and eliminate scours at higher treatment levels (6 grams/day)
  • to treat gastrointestinal disorders or other disorders in which beneficial moderation of the intestinal microflora or an increase in large intestine pH is sought
  • to improve and maintain general health
  • LARCH AG AC9 is rich in available QUERCETIN, which inhibits the release of histamines and leukotrienes into the bloodstream, assisting in prevention and treatment of inflammation and allergies. See the faq page for more details.

The IMMUNE ONEtm LARCH AG POWDER can be mixed with weaning pig ration from birth through the introduction of solid foods and beyond, at the rate of 6 grams per pig per day. At weaning, switching to the IMMUNE ONEtm pelleted ARABINOGALACTAN ration is suggested but optional.

The pelleted IMMUNE ONEtm ration would be fed one pound per day (minimum) to weaned pigs for the equivalent of 6 grams of AG.

The SOURCE ONE NATURALStm IMMUNE ONEtm pelleted supplement is economical in that it also supplies one pound of premium feed loaded with anti-oxidant producing enzymes (barley malt sprouts) and other anti-oxidants which enhance the effectiveness of the AG. Reducing oxidative agents seems to enhance the activity of most polysaccharides.

A major study currently being conducted seems to indicate that the use of ARABINOGALACTAN AC9 in weaned pig rations lowers the incidence of ileitis. Pigs supplemented with ARABINOGALACTAN "had 1/10 the incidence rate (of ileitis) as the control (group) supplemented with antibiotics".

Some of the potential benefits for domestic or commercial breeders include:

  • LESS RELIANCE ON ANTIBIOTICS.
  • REDUCED INCIDENCE OF INFECTIONS AND DISEASE.
  • IMPROVED FEED CONVERSION LEADS TO LOWER FEED COSTS PER ANIMAL.
  • UNIFORMITY OF GROWTH AND ENHANCED GROWTH.
  • POTENTIAL EARLIER DATE TO MARKET.
